Recognizing and Managing Opioid Disorders is a 2-hour online interprofessional event that introduces learners to the opioid epidemic in Arizona. Students learn about risk reduction messages and resources, how to identify the relationship between trauma and substance use, recognize signs of an opioid overdose and how to respond to an opioid overdose using naloxone. Students will also be able to identify aftercare next steps, including where to refer to resources. There are pre-event readings, videos, various activities, an interprofessional case discussion, and post-event resources.
